Signs Virtual Learning Environment Contract for Part 66 Exams
Paris, Amstelveen, Norwich – 13 January 2017 – KLM UK Engineering is delighted to announce the signing of a long term partnership with Kris Sakti Aviation (Malaysia) for the provision of EASA Part 147 exams supported by KLM UK Engineering’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) software.
Under the agreement, KLM UK Engineering (KLMUKE) will support Kris Sakti Aviation by providing experienced examiners to accompany its VLE product, allowing the students to gain their EASA Part 66 B Licence, while helping them to grow as a centre of excellence for the next generation of engineers.
With over 220 students graduating each year, the programme is equipping the aviation industry with skilled, qualified and competent engineers for the next generation.
In Kuala Lumpur, Dato’ Sri Mahmud Taib, the chairman of KS Holdings and KS Angkasamudra said: “Aviation engineers are highly trained professionals and with the support of KLMUKE we will provide training and develop individuals to become knowledgeable, skilled and competent. This mutually beneficial collaboration and smart partnership with KLMUKE utilizing their VLE products will enable the trainees to be fast tracked and obtain their EASA part 66 B licences, while helping to grow the next generation of aircraft maintenance engineers which is urgently required in the aviation industry.”

KLM UK Engineering is delighted to announce that they have been awarded Two Heavy Maintenance Checks for Corendon Dutch Airlines on their Boeing 737-800’s commencing in December 2016.
KLM UK Engineering is excited to announce that Corendon Dutch Airlines has signed a contract for two heavy maintenance checks during 2016 & 2017 on their Boeing 737-800’s as well as signing a long term GTA. This news follows the new deal with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) to provide Corendon Airlines Turkey and Corendon Dutch Airlines with engine maintenance services for twelve CFM56-7B engines in their fleets.

KLM UK Engineering Limited is Delighted to Announce the Addition of the Embraer 170/190 Approval to its Base Maintenance Portfolio from October 2016.

This latest offering compliments the existing portfolio at KLM UK Engineering’s facility, where it can maintain 5 lines of heavy maintenance, provide onsite workshop support and operates a technical training college delivering Part147.

Paris, Amstelveen, 29 June 2016 –Peter van der Horst has been appointed Managing Director of KLM UK Engineering Limited as of 1st July. KLM UK Engineering is a wholly-owned AFI KLM E&M subsidiary specialising in maintenance solutions for regional and narrow-body aircraft fleets. Peter van der Horst started his career in 1985 with Martinair where he held several operational management positions followed by: Director Cargo Operations, Director Aircraft Maintenance, Director Technical Operations and VP Maintenance and Engineering. In 2013 he moved to KLM E&M and was appointed as VP Line Maintenance.
On learning of his appointment, Peter van der Horst said: “I am very proud to be appointed Managing Director of KLM UK Engineering Limited. I hope that the knowledge acquired in my previous functions will bring a valuable contribution to KLM UK and its clients. Quality and predictability of an MRO services provider are extremely important factors for guaranteeing the operational performance of an airline. Under the agreement, KLM UK Engineering will support Nilai University’s successful Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Engineering Technology programmes by providing experienced examiners and VLE to allow the students to gain their EASA Part 66 B licence.
With over 150 students graduating each year, the programme is equipping the aviation industry with skilled, qualified and competent engineers for the next generation.

NilaiUniversity was established as Nilai College in 1997 and was upgraded to a university college in 2007 and a full-fledged university in 2012.
