KLM UK Engineering implements Nedap’s Luxon light management platform

KLM UK Engineering Limited, a maintenance repair organisation of AFIKLM E&M Network in the United Kingdom, has implemented Nedap’s Luxon light management platform, allowing KLM UK Engineering Limited to manage its new hangar lighting online. The use of connected LED lighting will result in significant energy savings, which is completely in line with the company's sustainability goals.

KLM UK Engineering Limited & West Atlantic UK Ltd Sign Contract for Airframe Maintenance

 KLM UK Engineering Limited, AFI KLM E&M subsidiary is delighted to announce the signing of airframe maintenance contract for 2018 with West Atlantic UK Limited.

 A European leader in the regional jets & narrow body aircraft market and having an internationally acknowledged expertise on the Boeing 737, Embraer 170/190, BAe146/Avro RJ, Fokker 70/100 & Airbus A320 Family, KLM UK Engineering is delighted to confirm its contract with West Atlantic UK Limited.

KLM UK Engineering Limited will commence airframe maintenance checks with West Atlantic UK Limited on their Boeing 737 Freighter fleet in January 2018.

 A European leader in the regional jets & narrow body aircraft market and having an internationally acknowledged expertise on the Embraer 170/190, BAe146/Avro RJ, Fokker 70/100, Boeing 737 & Airbus A320 Family, KLM UK Engineering Limited has extended its services to include Bahrain CAA approval to meet the growing demands from its customer base. This latest offering complements the existing portfolio at KLM UK Engineering Limited’s base maintenance facility, where it can maintain 5 lines of heavy maintenance, provide onsite workshop support and operates a technical training college delivering Part 147.

KLMUKE Apprentices Graduate after Four Year Training Programme

 

Ten Year 4 Apprentices Graduated this August and are fully employed with KLMUKE as Aircraft Mechanics.

 

A ceremony was held at the newly opened Internatioal Aviation Academy Norwich with the KLMUKE team.

Ray Flower appointed Head of Technical College at KLM UK Engineering Limited

Paris, Amstelveen, 5 May 2017 – Ray Flower has been appointed Head of Technical College of KLM UK Engineering Limited as of 1st March. KLM UK Engineering is a wholly-owned AFI KLM E&M subsidiary specialising in maintenance & training solutions for regional and narrow-body aircraft fleets. Ray Flower started his career in 1979 and has carried out many aviation training roles within the industry over the last 30 years. Ray’s latest roles include Head of Aviation at Kingston University & Chief Academic Officer (CAO) for Al Ain International Aviation Academy (AAIAA) in the UAE, Engineering Head at Qatar Aeronautical College & Head of Aeronautical Engineering at MTC Oman.

On learning of his appointment, Ray Flower said: “I am very proud to be returning to KLM UK Engineering Limited as Head of Technical College. With my previous experience with the Company and the newly acquired knowledge over the last few years in the Middle East I will bring a valuable contribution to both KLMUKE and its students. Being part of the new International Aviation Academy – Norwich and helping to educate and inspire the next generation of aviation engineers is an exciting prospect and I look forward to the challenge ahead, as well as continuing to support the training of our current staff within the MRO’.
